CONTROL STRENGTHEN SCULPT
GENERAL
Ninety9 Degrees is a science-based movement studio that merges precision alignment with resistance-driven strength training. Every class is designed to bring you into the adaptive zone — the sweet spot between effort and control where real physiological change occurs.
We train the body intentionally: slow, controlled, and deeply focused. Guided by expert instructors and grounded in cellular science, Ninety9 Degrees is where mindful movement meets metabolic conditioning — building strength, stability, and resilience from the inside out.
A method that sculpts the body, regulates the system, and keeps you training at your optimal internal temperature: 99°.
Ninety9 Degrees is designed for all fitness levels — from beginners to advanced movers. Each class offers modifications and progressions to meet you where you are and challenge you as your strength and control improve.
Because the method emphasizes slow, resistance-based movement, it’s accessible to most bodies while still delivering intensity through precision and muscle engagement rather than impact or speed.
That said, if you experience chronic back pain, joint discomfort, injuries, or have a medical condition, we recommend consulting your physician before starting any new training program.
Our goal is to help you move intelligently, train efficiently, and build strength that’s sustainable for life.
Yes. Ninety9 Degrees offers progressive class formats designed to meet you at your current level and evolve with your strength, stability, and control.
Our method is divided into four series — each targeting a different stage of development and physiological adaptation within the Controlled Resistance Training™ (CRT™) framework:
FOUNDATION SERIES
Essentials — Beginner / Full Body
Your introduction to CRT™ principles, movement mechanics, and alignment.
This class establishes the foundation for all future training. We recommend completing at least 10 Essentials sessions before progressing to intermediate formats.
ADAPTIVE SERIES
Sculpt99 — Intermediate / Full Body
A faster-paced progression of Essentials that integrates tempo control, increased resistance, and multi-planar movement to challenge endurance and control.
ISOLATION SERIES
Arms & Core — Intermediate
Upper-body focus emphasizing shoulder stability, spinal alignment, and slow-twitch core isolation.
Our schedule is carefully planned to ensure consistency for our members.
In rare cases, instructors or class times may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances. Any updates will always be reflected on the Ninety9 Degrees class schedule.
For your safety, stability, and hygiene, grip socks are required for all classes at Ninety9 Degrees. They help maintain traction on the reformer and support proper movement mechanics during training.
High-quality grip socks are available for purchase at the studio.
If you have any questions, please speak with our front desk team before class.
Consistency creates results — but recovery builds them.
For most people, 3-5 classes per week is the ideal training frequency. This allows your body to adapt and strengthen while maintaining proper recovery cycles.
If you also train at the gym and isolate muscle groups, aim for around 3 Ninety9 Degrees sessions weekly to complement your split routine. If your workouts are full-body, 3–5 classes per week is a balanced range for strength, endurance, and recovery.
Remember: CRT™ is designed to challenge the body within its adaptive zone — the sweet spot between effort and recovery where real change happens. Listen to your body, and give it both intensity and rest.
FIRST TIME
Yes. All clients are required to create a Ninety9 Degrees account through Mariana Tek in order to purchase class credits, memberships, and reserve a spot in class.
To create your account, simply click “Account” on our website — you’ll be redirected to our Mariana Tek booking portal, where you can sign up and manage your schedule.
Your account gives you access to:
• Real-time class schedules and instructor updates
• Membership and credit balance tracking
• Easy booking, waitlisting, and cancellations
Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely and maintain proper alignment throughout each exercise. Expect to sweat — our training method builds deep internal heat through controlled resistance and sustained muscle engagement.
For safety and hygiene, grip socks are required in all classes. They help maintain traction and stability on the reformer and are available for purchase at the studio.
Bring a water bottle (no glass, please) to stay hydrated before and after class.
If you experience chronic back pain, joint discomfort, injuries, or have a medical condition, we recommend consulting your physician before starting a new training program.
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before class to check in, get settled, and prepare your equipment. Classes begin promptly, and for safety and focus, late entry is not permitted — studio doors lock at class time.
If it’s your first visit, early arrival is essential. This allows our instructors to provide a brief orientation to the reformer before class begins.
If you arrive late and an orientation isn’t possible, we’ll gladly help you reschedule your session to ensure your first experience is safe and effective.
When booking your class through Mariana Tek, you’ll have the option to choose your reformer spot in the studio.
If it’s your first visit, we recommend selecting Reformers 4–9, located in the center of the room. These positions provide the clearest view of the instructor and allow you to follow along more easily as you learn the method.
Please note: our team may occasionally adjust reformer assignments to ensure the best overall class experience — for example, pairing new clients near experienced movers for guidance and alignment reference.

MEDICAL INQUIRIES
Congratulations — we’re so excited for you!
At this time, Ninety9 Degrees does not offer prenatal training, and we are not able to accommodate clients during pregnancy.
Because of the intensity, positioning, and demands of controlled resistance training, it’s not something we can safely modify within our class formats.
We recommend seeking out a studio or provider that specializes in prenatal fitness to ensure you’re supported in the safest way possible.
We can’t wait to welcome you back when the time is right 🖤
If you’re currently recovering from an injury, we recommend waiting until your physician or physiotherapist has cleared you for exercise before returning to class.
Once you’ve been cleared, our team will be happy to help you choose the most suitable class format for your recovery stage — typically starting with the Essentials: Foundation Series to rebuild strength, stability, and control safely.
Please inform your instructor of any ongoing limitations before class so they can provide appropriate modifications to support your recovery.
STUDIO POLICIES
Our studio guidelines are designed to create a focused, respectful, and restorative training environment — for you and every member of our community. Thank you for helping us uphold the Ninety9 Degrees experience.
Check In Before Class
Please check in at the front desk upon arrival so we can confirm your spot and ensure you’re ready for class.
Phones Away
The studio is a device-free zone. To maintain focus and respect the energy of the room, please store all electronics away before class.
Quiet Space
The training room is a place to tune into your body, not conversation. We encourage you to save socializing for before or after class.
Stay Present
To preserve the flow of class and respect the concentration of others, no in-and-outs are permitted once the session begins. If you need to leave due to discomfort or an emergency, please do not re-enter and check in with our front desk team so we can ensure you’re okay.
No Glass Bottles
For safety reasons, glass containers are not permitted in the movement space.
All sales of services are final. Services are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-exchangeable, and must be prepaid prior to booking.
We do not accept cash payments at this time.
Retail Merchandise:
Returns for a full refund may be made within 7 days of purchase.
Exchanges or account credits may be processed within 30 days of purchase.
All items must be unworn, unwashed, and unused, with original hangtags attached.
Proof of purchase is required for all returns.
Ninety9 Degrees is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We recommend leaving valuables at home and using the under-reformer basket during your visit.
Any belongings left behind will be placed in our Lost and Found and held for two weeks. After that time, unclaimed items will be donated or responsibly disposed of.
We love animals — they’re part of what keeps our energy grounded. However, for safety, hygiene, and comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted in the training space during class.
Service animals are always welcome in accordance with accessibility laws. If you require a service animal, please email us in advance at hello@ninety9degrees.ca so we can ensure a smooth experience. You may be asked whether the animal is required due to a disability and what task it has been trained to perform.
Please note: Maxwell Ford (Golden Retriever) or Honey Nguyen (Chihuahua) may occasionally be on-site under staff supervision. We appreciate your understanding and love for our four-legged mascots.
To maintain a focused and safe environment for all guests, children are not permitted in the studio or training area.
We do not offer on-site childcare, and for safety and liability reasons, little ones cannot remain in the lobby or class space during sessions.
If you arrive with your child, we’ll happily re-credit your class and invite you to return at another time that works best for you. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining the Ninety9 Degrees experience.
